Medigap
Medigap Coverage Guide
Medigap is another name for Medicare Supplement Insurance. These policies pair with Original Medicare to help cover certain deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
Plan letters are not Medicare parts
Medigap Plan G and Plan N are policy types, while Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D describe parts of the Medicare program. Keeping those labels separate makes comparisons easier.
What Medigap does not cover
Medigap policies generally do not include routine dental, vision, hearing aids, long-term care, or retail prescription drug coverage. A separate Part D plan may be needed for prescriptions.
